Club Volunteers

• Patrick is one of six children of Irish descent who grew up in the Edgewood area of Cranston. Patrick's Grandmother emigrated from Strokestown, Co. Roscommon by herself at age 13. He has worked in the food industry for over 46 years. He is an avid golfer, loves music and cooking. Patrick became an officer at the Irish Ceilidhe Club post covid and has held both Vice President and President titles. he is currently the President of the Club. Patrick holds dual citizenship, Ireland & US.

• Heather is a third generation Irish American. She is one of seven children, daughter of Frank and Michaela (Reilly) Geary, who has grown up in Cranston the majority of her life. She stumbled upon the club with her husband Eric, and daughter Michaela, almost 15 years ago when looking for a family friendly place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  She soon discovered that the club had so much to offer including Irish music, traditions, and great friendships. She truly cherishes her Irish roots, and is extremely proud to help carry on the Irish heritage that this wonderful club has to offer.

•  My family is of Irish heritage, Walsh and O'Rourke. I grew up in a household of Irish music and a fascination for anything Irish. My parents brought me to The Blarney Stone Pub in Pawtucket where "Ireland 32" held office. I joined Ireland 32 and then The Ceilidhe Club. I have volunteered at Edgewood Yacht Club since 1989 off and on as Treasurer, and assistant Treasurer. I currently am the Bookkeeper there. While at the Ceilidhe Club last year, a notice was posted that a Treasurer was needed and I am now happily in that position . I co-share the office with Rose Dourette. I enjoy the comraderie at the Ceilidhe Club and the wonderful music and friends. 

• I grew up in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence, the youngest of seven siblings. My twin sister is three minutes older than me. I am on the State board of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, I am also on the 1916 Committee. It was through the 1916 Committee that I joined the Ceilidhe Club. I am glad that I joined, being exposed to the history and culture of Ireland. 

• l have been a member of the club since 2016. I was nominated Corresponding Secretary in 2018 and have been doing it since. I have met so many nice people at the club that l call them friends. I have enjoyed many nice years in this club.

•  I am the Sergeant at Arms for the Ceilidhe Club. A graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School and an equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 57 here in Rhode Island. I joined the club because of my love for my Irish heritage,  the history and the music. When away from the club I enjoy all sports and all outdoor activities. My hope is to keep our wonderful club alive and flourishing for many years to come. Slainte, Gra, agus Sonas.

I have been a part of the Ceilidhe Club since the 70's, attending many events with my Mom who was from Ireland. I became an official member in the late 80's and held my first office on the Board as Recording Secretary in 1998. I have been on the Board consistently in the years since holding the offices of Treasurer, Bar Manager, Vice President, and currently I am serving as a Trustee.

•  Mike Cannon has been a life-long resident of Rhode Island. He is a graduate of Rhode Island College and is married to wife Denise. He has been active and involved for over 30 years with various Irish organizations, including Irish Northern Aid, the RI Famine Committee as a founding member, and Friends of Sinn Fein, which seeks a United Ireland. Mike is very proud to serve as a board member of the Rhode Island Irish Ceilidhe Club.
